Key Terms
RBA: The native digital currency of the Roburna Blockchain. RBA is used for transaction fees, validator rewards, and serves as the foundation of Roburna’s Proof-of-Earn (PoE) and Delegated-Proof-of-Earn (DPoE) mechanisms.
Base Layer: The foundational layer of the Roburna network, responsible for managing consensus, validating transactions, creating blocks, and securing the network. It operates independently of application processing.
Sub-Chains: Independent chains built on top of Roburna’s base layer. Each sub-chain can run its own decentralized applications or use cases, all while sharing the same consensus mechanism, asset (RBA), and standards with the main-chain.
Validators: Participants responsible for confirming transactions, producing blocks, and maintaining network integrity. Validators are selected based on earnings, holding history, and eligibility criteria determined by Roburna’s elastic validation model.
Elastic Validation: A dynamic system that adjusts the requirements to become a validator based on the market cap and price of RBA. This ensures inclusivity and prevents centralization.
Proof-of-Earn (PoE): Roburna’s core consensus mechanism. Holders of RBA earn rewards passively over time and gradually gain eligibility to validate blocks — without needing to stake or operate nodes manually.
Delegated-Proof-of-Earn (DPoE): A pooling mechanism allowing multiple users to combine their earnings and collectively act as a validator. Rewards are distributed among participants based on contribution, with no fees.
Chain Oracle: A system-level component that maintains synchronization between the main-chain and all sub-chains. It verifies and propagates the latest shared history and proposed blocks across the network.
Earning Rank: A user’s current earning status on the network, determined by holding and reward history. Ranks influence validator eligibility and reward share.
Zero Earning Phase: The entry phase for new or low-balance participants on Roburna. Users in this phase don’t earn validator rewards until they progress to Rank 1 through passive earnings.
Frictionless Yield: A key Roburna concept where all holders earn rewards automatically, without any manual action like staking, locking, or delegating.
Validator Slashing: A security measure that removes accumulated rewards from any validator found to have confirmed an invalid block, ensuring integrity across the network.
Transaction Fee: A small amount of RBA paid to process transactions on the Roburna network. Fees are automatically distributed as part of the frictionless yield system.
