Validator Rewards and Benefits
Validators are the backbone of the Roburna Chain, ensuring its security and reliability. This section highlights how validators are rewarded with RBA, Roburna’s native currency, and explores the added advantages of holding RBA. Discover how becoming a validator supports the network while offering meaningful rewards.
Validator Mechanisms
Validators play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of the Roburna blockchain. Understanding how validators work within the Roburna ecosystem is key to fully engaging with the network. In this section, we’ll discuss the two consensus mechanisms that power Roburna: Proof of Earn (PoE) and Delegated Proof of Earn (DPoE)
Proof of Earn (PoE)
PoE is designed to offer frictionless earning and elastic validation. This mechanism promotes long-term holders of RBA tokens as validators, allowing them to participate in maintaining the network without the need for extensive technical knowledge or massive initial investments.
With PoE, simply holding RBA tokens can help you earn rewards while supporting the network’s decentralization and security.
Frictionless Earning: You don’t need to actively stake or lock tokens to earn rewards. Your participation in the ecosystem helps keep the blockchain secure while you hold your tokens.
Elastic Validation: PoE provides flexibility, ensuring that anyone can be a validator by holding RBA tokens, regardless of the size of their stake.
Delegated Proof of Earn (DPoE)
DPoE takes PoE a step further by allowing participants to create validator pools. Through this mechanism, users can delegate their tokens to a pool of validators, share in the rewards, and still support the network’s growth and security.
DPoE enables a more inclusive system where individuals who may not have enough tokens to become solo validators can still participate by joining or creating validator pools.
Validator Pools: Groups of participants pooling their tokens to increase their chances of becoming a validator and sharing the rewards.
Reward Sharing: Participants in the validator pools receive proportional rewards based on the tokens they delegate.
These mechanisms ensure that everyone can play a role in securing the Roburna network, whether they’re a long-term holder or someone looking to collaborate in a validator pool.
Delegated-Proof-of-Earn (DPoE) Mechanism
The Delegated-Proof-of-Earn (DPoE) mechanism adds a dynamic layer to the Roburna blockchain, allowing token holders to actively participate in the validation process through delegation. By joining or creating validator pools, users can earn rewards while supporting the network’s security and decentralization.
In this section, we’ll break down the core elements of the DPoE mechanism, including the validation ranks, the selection process, and the reward distribution system.
Validation Ranks
In the DPoE system, there are three distinct validation ranks, each determined by the amount of RBA tokens held and the duration they have been held. These ranks define the level of participation and the rewards that come with being a validator.
Rank 1: Highest rank, awarded to participants who hold the most RBA tokens and have held them for the longest duration.
Rank 2: Mid-level rank, for participants who have a moderate amount of RBA tokens or have held them for a reasonable time.
Rank 3: Entry-level rank, for those with fewer tokens or shorter holding durations, but still eligible to participate and earn rewards.
Validator Selection Process
The validator selection process in DPoE is driven by users themselves. You can select and maintain the amount of tokens you wish to delegate, ensuring your participation aligns with your preferred level of involvement. You can opt to join an existing pool or create one with your preferred criteria.
Once you’ve selected a validator pool, your tokens are delegated to that pool, and you’ll begin receiving proportional rewards based on the pool’s performance and your token contribution.
DPoE Validator Reward System
The rewards within the Delegated Proof of Earn (DPoE) system are distributed based on the validator ranks and the contributions of each participant in the validator pools. The reward pool is allocated proportionally, ensuring fairness and incentivizing active participation.
Rank 3 Validators share 60% of the total reward pool.
Rank 2 Validators share 30% of the total reward pool.
Rank 1 Validators share 10% of the total reward pool.
This tiered system encourages long-term holding and active delegation while maintaining an inclusive environment where participants at all levels can benefit.
Participants who delegate their tokens to validator pools receive rewards proportional to their contribution within the pool. This means that even smaller holders who cannot become solo validators can earn a share of the validation rewards by pooling their resources with others.
By combining the PoE and DPoE mechanisms, Roburna ensures a decentralized, secure, and fair network where all participants have the opportunity to contribute to and benefit from the blockchain’s success.
